2022 F1 Season Recap

Verstappen’s gain has been Leclerc’s loss mainly. The Ferrari driver has struggled after taking two of the first three races. And now Sergio Perez has leapfrogged him in both the Canada GP odds AND world title standings. Perez has 129 points on the year, while Leclerc has 116.

As we said before, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve has been without a race since 2019 due to the global pandemic. Still, this track and event as a whole have long been a fixture in the F1 calendar. Lewis Hamilton won the most recent competition, giving him seven all-time wins in Canada — tied for record most. Hamilton remains winless in 2022 and just one podium finish too.
